2. Booking an Appointment
Appointments can be requested through the website, by telephone, email or any other booking method offered by K&T Wellness Studio. A booking is not confirmed until K&T Wellness Studio has confirmed the appointment. 3. Treatment Suitability and Health Information
Massage therapy is provided for relaxation, wellbeing, muscular comfort, mobility and other appropriate therapeutic purposes. Massage therapy is not a substitute for medical diagnosis, medical treatment or emergency healthcare. Before treatment, you may be asked to complete a consultation and health questionnaire. You must provide accurate and complete information about relevant health conditions, injuries, medications, pregnancy, allergies or other circumstances that could affect the suitability or safety of treatment. K&T Wellness Studio may decline, modify or postpone a treatment where there is a reasonable concern that treatment may not be appropriate or safe. If necessary, you may be advised to seek advice from your GP, physiotherapist or another appropriately qualified healthcare professional before treatment.
4. Consultation and Consent
Clients must provide informed consent before treatment. You may be asked to confirm that: You understand the treatment being provided. You have provided accurate health information. You understand that massage may produce temporary effects such as tenderness or soreness. You understand that treatment can be modified or stopped if necessary. You can withdraw your consent to treatment at any time. Where health information is collected through the consultation process, it will be handled in accordance with the K&T Wellness Studio Privacy Policy.
5. Treatment Results
Every person responds differently to massage therapy. K&T Wellness Studio does not guarantee a particular treatment outcome, reduction in pain, improvement in mobility or recovery time. Treatment will be provided with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with the information available at the time of treatment. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by these Terms & Conditions. UK consumer law requires services to be provided with reasonable care and skill.
6. Appointment Times and Late Arrival
Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you arrive late, your treatment may need to be shortened so that the following client’s appointment is not affected. Where treatment is shortened because of a client’s late arrival, the full appointment fee may still be payable, provided this is applied fairly and in accordance with applicable consumer law. If you are going to be late, please contact K&T Wellness Studio as soon as possible.
7. Cancelling or Changing an Appointment
If you need to cancel or change an appointment, please provide as much notice as possible. K&T Wellness Studio’s proposed cancellation policy is: More than 48 hours’ notice: no cancellation charge. Less than 24 hours’ notice: a cancellation charge of up to 50% of the treatment price may apply. Failure to attend without notice: up to 100% of the treatment price may be charged. Cancellation charges will be applied reasonably and proportionately and will take account of the circumstances of the cancellation. K&T Wellness Studio will not use cancellation charges to remove or restrict any legal rights you have. Consumer law requires cancellation terms and charges to be fair and not disproportionately disadvantageous to the customer.
8. Cancellation by K&T Wellness Studio
K&T Wellness Studio reserves the right to cancel or rearrange an appointment where reasonably necessary, including because of: Illness Emergency Unexpected circumstances Studio or equipment problems Safety concerns A treatment becoming unsuitable Circumstances outside reasonable control Where K&T Wellness Studio cancels an appointment and you have already paid for the appointment, you will normally be offered a suitable alternative appointment or an appropriate refund. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
9. Payment
Treatment prices will be displayed or confirmed at the time of booking. Payment may be made using the payment methods accepted by K&T Wellness Studio. Prices may change from time to time, but the price agreed for a confirmed appointment will not normally be changed after booking unless otherwise agreed with you. Any deposit or advance payment requirement will be clearly explained before payment is taken.
10. Deposits
Where a deposit is required, the amount and conditions will be explained before the booking is confirmed. Deposits will not automatically be treated as non-refundable in every circumstance. Any retention of a deposit or cancellation charge will be fair and proportionate to the circumstances.
11. Pregnancy, Medical Conditions and Contraindications
Certain treatments may need to be adapted, postponed or avoided depending on an individual’s circumstances. Clients must tell K&T Wellness Studio about any relevant health condition, injury, medication, pregnancy or other circumstance that may affect treatment. K&T Wellness Studio may ask you to obtain appropriate medical advice before treatment where this is considered necessary for safety.
12. Hygiene and Safety
K&T Wellness Studio aims to maintain a clean, hygienic and professional treatment environment. Treatment equipment, towels and other relevant items will be cleaned or changed appropriately between clients. Clients are expected to follow reasonable hygiene and safety instructions before arriving for treatments and during their appointment.
13. Clothing, Draping and Personal Boundaries
Clients will only be asked to remove clothing that is reasonably necessary for the treatment being provided. Appropriate draping will be used to protect the client’s dignity and privacy. Clients may decline any part of a treatment or ask for treatment to stop at any time. K&T Wellness Studio maintains professional boundaries at all times. Any inappropriate, sexual or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in the treatment being stopped.
14. Right to Refuse or Stop Treatment
K&T Wellness Studio may refuse or stop treatment where: Treatment appears unsafe or unsuitable. A client has provided inaccurate or incomplete health information. A client behaves abusively, threateningly or inappropriately. Professional boundaries are not respected. The therapist considers that continuing treatment would not be appropriate. Where appropriate, an explanation will be provided.
15. Children and Young Clients
Unless specifically agreed in advance, treatments are intended for adults. Where K&T Wellness Studio agrees to provide treatment to a person under 18, appropriate consent and safeguarding arrangements must be agreed before the appointment.
16. Personal Belongings
Clients are responsible for their own personal belongings while attending the studio. K&T Wellness Studio cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
